Mary,

Do you have collocation turned on for the tape storage pool to which you are
archiving?  If so, ADSM will only use one (1) tape for each user (possibly
two in some circumstances), even though you have scheduled multiple
concurrent archives.  We have a separate tape archive pool and have turned
collocation off for this pool.  This allows ADSM to use as many tape
transports as are available up to the mount limit to archive the user's data.
 We have submitted a requirement for this restriction to be lifted.  I can
provide you with the requirement number if you are interested.
