Just today I tried and successfully used the IRIX backup/archive client on a
newly installed IRIX 6.2 system to do a complete incremental backup. Then I
deleted some files and they came back from the server. This was on an XFS
filesystem.

Any word on when this will be explicitly supported?

Also, with DMAPI support in SGI IRIX XFS, is there any hope for an HSM
client for SGI?

Thanks,
