Dealing with the amount of data that can actually be stored on a CKD
DASD device is a little tricky. The amount of data depends on the key
length, the device type and the block size.
The ADSM storage pools are 0 key length and 4096 for the block size. On
a 3390 device geometry you can fit 12 of these 4096 block on one track.
You have 49935 tracks allocated. The tracks X the block size X the number
of block per track is the number of bytes you have available in that
space. 49935 X 12 X 4096 = 2,454,405,120 divided by 1 meg
2,454,405,120 / 1,048,576 = 2340.703125 or 2340 Meg.
