If you're running ADSM V2.x, take a look at the BACKUP STGPOOL command.
If you're disk buffer is large enough, you can issue the backup stgpool
(<disk storagepool name>) command before the data is migrated to tape..
this would eliminate the need for input tape mounts and would only
require scratch tapes.
