Hey, put your system with mine & we will either have a fully
functional one or one that is totally broke ;-)
As I mentioned earlier, my 2.1.0.8 on aix 4.1 with two active
processes utilizing all/both/two 3590 tape drives... a Q MOUNT shows
no tapes mounted but a Q PROC shows two processes running with output
volumes... If I cancel one process and do a Q MOUNT , I get the stats
on the remaining mounted tape (associated with the process I didn't
cancel) BUT I always see processes...
later

I issued a "query process" command, and ADSM told me there are no
processes running, so I started cleaning tape drives, only to discover
that there is a tape mounted in one of the drives. It is doing I/O,
and appears to be part of a process that is backing up a storage pool.
(It would be nice if log entries displayed its process number.)
The "query mount" command shows the volume mounted and in use, and
when I use the "STORAGE POOL VOLUME - DETAILS" gui to query the volume,
it shows that the volume is being written to. I can tell because the
date/time last written keeps changing, and Percent Utilized keeps going
up. However, ADSM still does not have any processes running.
Has anyone else had this problem?
