I've read all the 10GB raw 30GB compressed... I've also actually seen
better than that... the other day while scanning through listings I
saw where ADSM reported *** 70 GB *** on one tape, granted this was
probably a pretty empty oracle db after compression but it was still
70GB of allocated space on the client machine...
I've also been through the misc new equipment snags but a majority are
cured via V2.R1.M0.8 of ADSM and the latest micro-code for the 3590
drives...
later

Hello !
I don't if this is good place for these kind of questions but...
1) Does anyone have any experiences with the 3590 High Performance Tape
Subsystem with the Magstar Tape Drive ?? Good or Bad ???
2) Our IBM representative told us that Magstar's cartridges have a capacity of
10 GB currently and 20 GB soon ( when ?? , and what is then compacted capacity
60 GB ?)
3) from who could I get more info ?
