Re: HP-UX 10.x client

Markus Fehling (fehling AT vnet.ibm DOT com) recently helped me with this one.
He wrote:
To install the current available HP/UX client (HP/UX 9 client) on a
HP/UX 10 system, you have to install it on a HP/UX 9 system, put all
ADSM files together (tar -cf filename /usr/adsm) and store it onto the
HP/UX 10 system.
Do not forget to make the links to /usr/bin and lib also.
With the next PTF (maybe earlier) a new package for HP/UX 10 will come
out to be installable with "swinstall".
Note: I tried this and it worked perfectly.
Good luck,

I know this was talked about before but I guess I skimmed over it a
little to fast for it to sink in. I know it's not supported yet, but
are people having success installing and using the HP-UX 9.0x client on
the 10.x platform? I thought that this would not work due to the new
filesystem structure on HP-UX 10.x. Has anyone done this successfully
and are there any differences to watch out for...Thanks in advance.
