I've been using the V1 client on hp 10.x systems with one problem. It
only supports the hfs filesystems. You can however backup vxfs filesystems
via the DOMAIN statement. Sorta a kludge at this point.
The v2 client is packaged like an HP software product in update format.
This is a plus for 9.x systems, but a minus on 10.x platforms. 10.x
introduces a new packaging format that's in line with the new file system
layout. I imagine you could install a v2 client on a 9.x platform then
build a tar/cpio image of the "right" pieces to install it on a 10.x
system. I haven't gone through this effort yet.
