Take a closer look at the actual RU-Size used in your APPC connection.
Try RU-Sizes of 4096 or higher if your SNA network allows this. In most
cases, the RU-Size has the most significant impact on APPC performance.

We use both LU 6.2 and TCP/IP and LU 6.2 outperforms our TCP/IP connection,
you should gain at least 150-200KB/sec.

Note, that if you use COMPRESSION ON, the actual data transfer shown is
calculated on the size before the files are compressed, and not calculated on
the compressed data transfered over the network. So the rate increases
heavily.
