I have only done a few tests which confirm more or less the numbers Sheelagh
has posted to the list. We got 3,7 MB/s (0,75 MB/s) with an average file size
of 80 MB (35 KB) for migration processes. Our environment is nearly the
same as in Oxford:

   3590 SCSI connected drives to an R24
   ADSM DB on 7137, additionally mirrored
   ADSM LOG on 7137, also mirrored
   LOG mode ROLLFORWARD
   DB size 2 GB
   BufPoolSize     2048
   LogPoolSize     128
   MOVEBatchsize   256
   MOVESizethresh  500

Unfortunately we have many small files, at present 6,000,000 which is only
the beginning with an average file size of 50 KB, so we will never reach
3 MB/s in real life.
