The -subdir=yes option does work for ARCHIVE on the later PTF levels of the
Version 1 client. Only problem is, on a RETRIEVE, it you're retrieving
directories with subdirectories, the directory structure is 'flattened'
(i.e. subdirectories aren't maintained on the RETRIEVE) and all the files
end up in 1 directory. Would be nice if this were fixed.

I don't know what client level you're at, but with the V2 client, the
-SUBDIR option has been made available for the ARCHIVE command. It may
also be in a latter PTF for the V1 client.
