Sorry for the long append but this will be of interest to any
Sybase users. Attached is a marketing note I received from
DataTools which describes

1) on-line demo instructions
2) Paper describing SQL-BT enhancements to the System10 Backup Server

Also of interest to Oracle users...it looks like DataTools support
for Oracle is about to hit the streets (Oracle on HP, Sun any day...
AIX in a month or so)

SQL-BackTrack On-Line Demo System
Quick Instructions
*************************

DataTools provides an evaluation system for testing and demonstrating
SQL-BackTrack for Sybase.

You can either telnet to the system or use a modem to dial in to it.

To telnet to the DataTools evaluation system:

        telnet demo.datatools.com

If you are using a modem, dial in to (415) 842-9126. Your communications
parameters should be set to 8 bits, no parity.

Answer the prompts as directed. Once logged on, we suggest starting a guided
demonstration:

        demo.datatools.com% demo

This presents a guided demonstration of the SQL-BackTrack product. You can
exit this presentation at any time to try commands yourself.

Don't worry -- any changes you make to the disk files or the SQL Server
will be undone when you disconnect. Go ahead and try out anything; use
isql to browse or change the databases if you want.

If you have questions or need help while using the system, call DataTools
Technical Support at (415) 842-9117 during normal (7am - 5pm Pacific Standard
Time) business hours. Technical Support can also be reached on
support AT datatools DOT com

If you want to use the product without using the guided demonstration, read
the README file for details on the SQL Server and commands that you might use.

        demo.datatools.com% more README

For logistical reasons, only disk support is available on the evaluation system.

Control directories already exist for physical, logical, and individual object
backups. (Type ls to see the files.) The two user databases on the server
DEMOS are pubs2 and demo2 (about 12 meg). You may want to try backing up these
control directories (with the dtbackup command), recovering with dtrecover, or
creating your own control directories with the dtcreate command.

See the online man pages for more information on these commands:
dtbackup, dtrecover, dtdump, dtload, dtcreate, dtwatch
