In the preferences file, I recommend that you add 'slowincremental off'.
This will speed up incrementals after the first one, and cut down the server
cpu quite a lot (do the same for windows). The down side is that more ram is
needed on the Mac client. The ram required is (program size + tcp buffers +
105 bytes * #_of_active_files + 125 * #_of_active_folders).
I am running 700 clients to an MVS server; 500+ are Macs. If I didn't set
Slowincremental to off, my cpu would roll over and die.
