Hamish,  the Mac client, unlike the others requires a DOMAIN statement
in the Preferences file that lists the disk volumes to be backed up
(with spelling, punctuation, blanks, capitalization, etc., precisely
matching the disk labels).  We've been promised relief from this
restriction, but for now you will need to list the volumes in the
DOMAIN statement in order for a scheduled backup to succeed.
