One poin to consider is future releases.  At SHARE 84 in L.A. last
February, an ADSM high muck-a-muck said that version 2 would be
delivered initially on MVS and AIX only.  VM would follow. If the
version 2 functions are important too you, go with MVS.

(Someone from IBM can detail what the version 2 functions are).

For the record, I am using the MVS server backing up 700 desktop
clients, mainly Macs and Windows.
