We have used ADSM when upgrading Novell servers about half a dozen
times now, quite successfully.  This involves making one last backup,
shutting down the old server, bringing up the new machine, and doing
a complete restore.  Under these circumstances, the Mac files seem to
be restored with the proper names.  In other words, the Mac files seem
to survive being restored as long as their Novell names are not changed.

The biggest gotcha is remembering to have a current backup of the
"VOLINFO" data, which is not backed up during an incremental backup,
but must be saved by doing a selective backup and specifying the
"-VOL" option.  (How I wish they'd fix this!)
