We run with an exabyte 210 at the moment, but I assume the 7331-208 would
operate the same way:

You insert the cartridges and then issue a command that causes ADSM to
quicly load every tape in the library and read it's label. After that, it
knows which slot each labeled tape is stored in and can move to it
directly.
