I keep running into the problem that users use tabs in the Mac ADSM
Preferences file, but ADSM does not recognize a tab as "white space".
So many systems treat tabs as being equivalent to blanks syntactically
that users expect ADSM to do the same.  The problem is not made better
by the fact that the resulting error messages don't point out the
illegal characters.
