Thanks to Ken Rosenberry of PSU and others who responded to my problems
getting a MAC to run the scheduler automatically.

The problem was that my MAC knowledge was negligible. Now I know about
Macintosh aliases (and so do my MAC users as we install ADSM)!

Though I can find no references to this in any ADSM manual, at least
for System 7, one just:

creates an alias for "ADSM Scheduler" by highlighting the icon by
the same name in the ADSM folder, pulling down the MAC "file" menu
    and selecting "Make Alias".

drags the alias to the "Startup" section of the System folder.

(Some of my MAC users also learned that dropping the "ADSM
Preferences" file on to "TeachText" causes the file to be edited. Too
bad the preferences file isn't associated with TeachText instead of
the ADSM Backup client. Every MAC user I've met wants to click on the
preferences file in order to change it).

cheers,

cheers,
