This append contains material that will be presented at the
upcoming Guide in NYC (ST 481: ADSM: Update and Directions).
Each of seven topics will be covered in time divisions (Today,
Short Term (before 7/95), Medium Term (another year beyond that),
Long Term (late 96 and beyond).  Medium Term and Long Term will
probably change due to marketplace demands changing (Our business
model is to go where the customers vote their money!).

know that we used the latest Almaden database transaction technology
and had two phase commits and dynamic transaction backout! <wg>),
Centralized Scheduling, Automation, Graphical User Interface

Short Term - SNMP Alerts to NetView, Client HSM functions for
AIX, HP & Sun clients (automigrate/recall of active data from clients),
Enhanced Device Suport/Management, Storage Pool backup

Medium Term - Peer to Peer servers (or hierarchy of servers),
Integration with Open Edition/MVS, Client HSM for other clients,
SQL interface, Enhanced Enterprise control
