Yeah, major bummer, just found out about that. I've been told that the
Mac actually touches that file each time the SoftWindows stuff runs.
I can't verify that until next week though, a co-workers supposed to
have one delivered later this week. That would be bad, real bad. I'm
not wild about backing up that 61M Mac file (thats apparently the
default size for the SoftWindows Harddisk), it's really just an image
backup at that point. Anyone tried renaming it and doing a restore to
see if SoftWindows complains? I don't think it would but.....
I've been told that the SoftWindows communication package is Novell
IPX based. Have you actually tried to run an ADSM backup under the
Windows app yet? Anything to watch out for?

The other problem for these users (for me anyway) is automating the
backups for them. Having two OS's, pretty much means that they're on
their own for the SoftWindows. The Mac OS is native so it'll always
be there if the machine is on but the Windows will only be there if
they've left it running. That will take some explaining to people.
I assume, of course, that there is no problem with both OS's talking
on the ethernet at the same time so that if both OS's are running,
and being one machine it's kept in the same scheduled time, there aren't
any problems with backing up both OS's at once.
