medium-sized append concerning NetWare abends ....

There has been a recent rash of NetWare abends while running ADSM.
The abends are occurring on v3.11 and v3.12 servers. Below are some
suggestions ... any other insights from the user community would be helpful.

There seems to be two distinct places where ADSM is abending:
1) dsmc.nlm
2) in a routine which has something to do with memory
   (ie AllocateNonMovableReturnableMemory)

For the latter 'flavor', there are several things that need to be checked
on the system:
1) ensure that you are running the latest level of ADSM client code
   (IP20145, v1.02)
2) ensure that the SMDR31X and TSA311 (or TSA312) modules are at level 4.01b.
This level is also shipped with IP20145
3) ensure that CLIB is running at v3.12f. This level is available on
   CompuServ (GO NETWIRE) as LIBUP2.ZIP
4) NetWare v3.11 servers seem to have better luck with
Maximum Short Term Memory Alloc set at 4M. NetWare v3.12 should be
   able to run at 2M.

For the crashes in dsmc.nlm, there doesn't seem to be a good answer at this
point. Has anybody seen this problem and resolved it? There has been
talk about the short term memory allocation in previous appends, but I wanted
to distinguish between the two distinct error types.

Thanks,
Jim Smith
