I recommend charing clients for the amount of storage that they utilize
at the ADSM server for backup and archive objects. The data for this
type of charge back mechanism can be displayed with the QUERY OCCUPANCY
command.  Charging by total amount of data stored is a nice way to
parcel out the cost for managing that data, including server migration
and reclamation processes (CPU time).  I believe that this is more
meaningful than the accounting records generated by the server, since
they simply record the cpu time needed to transfer client data to the
server and the amount of data sent.  These accounting records do not
track the server resource required to manage client data over time.
Allocating costs by the amount of data managed by the server can be used
to account for all server overhead involved in managing the data
