Allen - There's really nothing to dispute... TSM asks the Library Manager to mount the tape - but, naturally, TSM has to believe that the tape is in the library in order to want to request the mount.
I'm sorry, I understood you to mean that the TSM server would ask for the volume regardless of wether it thought the volume to be checked in. Clearly, I misunderstood. - Allen S. Rout
