Hi, I recently installed 2.4.3 on FreeBSD, and I'm seeing that all the tar archives are failing because a particular directory is not created. The structure on the client appears to be: toolbox[/tmp/

What directory do you mean? I think the missing culprit is "gnutar-lists". It is trying to create files like "host1.int_usr_local_" in that missing directory. -- Jon H. LaBadie jon AT jgcomp DOT com

/usr/local/var/amanda/gnutar-lists Should this directory be created by the install process, or is this something that I should be creating manually on every machine? I didn't see mention of it in the

I don't see anything in the makefiles dealing with gnutar-lists. My guess is: since not everyone uses gnutar and the directory is not needed by dump, do not install it by default, and thus, do it by
/usr/local/webapp/mharc-adsm.org/html/Amanda-Users/2002-11/msg00457.html (12,152 bytes)
