A few things: (1) Never, ever, put a ruleset into ESE.automation if it has a Forward in it, or if the initial event stream node is set to PASS, or you will eventually hang all ruleset processing. The

My answers. (1) Yes, unless the answer to (2) below applies (2) TEC forwarding has NOTHING to do with ESE.automation. The two have no intersection. ESE.automation is for background rulesets you want

Hi James, Very helpful.I set the /etc/services file but that was not the problem as you mentioned. To prove the nvaction daemon I ran admintool and it worked. When I ran nvpage it didnt. I created a

I'm confused, Arthur. Can you run nvpage from the command line or not? I did not pursue that line since you said it worked from an automatic action in trapd.conf. If you are using a script, then you

James , nvpage works from trapd.conf and command line. Actionsvr also works fine,as was I was having trouble getting the paging to work I tried running admintool from the action node just to prove ac
