Hello, I have an MLM on solaris 2.6 reporting back to a netview 5.1.2 server also on solaris 2.6. The community names are all configured correctly and if I generate a trap using the snmptrap command,

I cannot answer all of your questions, but I can reassure you on one point: the Up event you see from Netmon is a fake one, issued in response to an up event from MLM. That MLM up event is configured

MLM does not produce any "Node Down" traps. They are only produced by netmon when "all" of the interfaces are down. As Leslie posted, the MLM traps do not show up in the Event Log window by default,

I have enabled the the mlm status up and down events to log and display but they are not getting to the trapd.log at all. They arent in the MLM trapd.log in teh first instance. One thing I forgot to
