Hi there, Well, for one, changes in access permissions for files in unix filesystems will not trigger an incremental backup in netbackup - as such change will not change the files' modified-date. Reg

1. Not 100% sure, but Veritas "dominates the market" because they give it away, right? I mean, don't they bundle it with Solaris or some other OS, so when they count their installed base, they count

Well, TSM is saving you space on tape by using those two drives to squeeze out unused space. Veritas will (I think) leave tapes sitting on the shelf for a long time that are nearly empty. BTW, you *C

I used to help sell both as a sales guys techie. IMHO: Veritas NBU needs more tape drives as we did backups to tape, but it was good to allow multiplexing data onto the tapes. You really MUST keep en
