How do you verify that a 3590 drive in a 3494 is being cleaned? Daily we see "TAPE SIM/MIM RECORD" and "TAPE DRIVE NEEDS CLEANING" entries in the AIX error log. Someone mentioned on the list a while

We have the cleaning option on the 3494 set to 45 mounts. And so stopped seeing "TAPE DRIVE NEEDS CLEANING" after that. But we still get the SIM/MIMs and would love a key into more info besides clean
