- After managing a pool of 3480s through ADSM, I'm now using VMSI/Sterling's VMTAPE to pick 3490s. The down-side to using "SCRATCH" designation is that VMTAPE does not recycle and reuse the previously-

- All you need to do is issue 'VMTAPE SCRATCH (REFRESH'. There is no need to restart VMTAPE.
