Hello Everyone! Do any of you know if ADSM is capable of sharing tape drives with MVS? We have 14 StorageTek silos and a bunch of Timberline 9490 tape drives being used by our OS/390 MVS applications

ADSM is just like any other MVS application and will compete for drives with the other applications using the drives. The only thing you can do with ADSM is limit the number of drives he will use for

Rick, You can use any of the drives as OS/390 will handle allocation for you, ADSM just runs as a STC. We do have a seperate set of drives but that is because we are using STK 9840 devices for ADSM.
