Has anyone out there seen this? I have AIX ADSM eval copy, IBM 7331 with 1 drive, 10 tapes defined to system. When I backup and fill disk storage pool it trys to mount tape. It sets tape to Unavailab

If you have a fast-wide single ended SCSI adapter check if it has ROS level 74 or higher. I had tape getting in the state read-only or unavailable with this kind of SCSI adapter and a Exabyte EXB-480
