Mahesh - I've seen Move Data ask for two input tapes, too. Remember that files can span tapes, which can account for this. (A recent posting contained an SQL query for checking for this kind of thing

I am reasonably sure there was a two segment file starting on 000027 and ending on 000004. That is, ADSM started writing the file on 000027, reached the end of that tape, and wrote the remainder of

There was probably a file that was partially written to each tape (000004 and 000027); in order to complete the move data from 000027 to 000018 it needed the entire file to be written to 000004. This

How much data was supposed to be on volume 000027? If there was only 1 file this sounds like it could be normal behavior - if the file spanned tape volumes ADSM would move the piece that was on 00002
