So i seem to recall seeing on this list discussion of a method that lets you NOT discover nodes that do not support SNMP. I dont mean discover unmanaged, but not add them to the map database at all.

But according to the man page for oid_to_type, this will tell netmon to discover "nodes with SNMP that have object IDs that do not match a specific entry in the oid_to_type file" with an unmanaged st

Sorry but I don't know the exact answer to this. netmon on NT does use the oid_to_type file. Whether this particular trick regarding non-SNMP supported nodes works, I cannot say. But it should be eas
