I have an NT server running SAP/Oracle. I am backing up the Oracle DB with TDP for R3, and thus want to exclude these files from TSM incremental. I cannot get it to work. NT server v 4.0 with SP6 TSM

Do you have any include.dir lines in your option file? If you do, they override all excludes, no matter what their placement. If you want to see what TSM thinks should be included or excluded, run ds

No, I don't have include.dir, only exclude and include statements. I tried that. It showed what I expected. My * or ? had been changed to a #, which I took to be TSMs own wildcard. But it still didn

SAP's version of Oracle isn't quite standard Oracle. The files in this directory have various extensions, mainly *.svd and *.001, but it's an idea. I can try these specifically. Richard Foster Norsk

It would be helpful to see the entire output from the 'q inclexcl' command, not just part of a single line. It would also be interesting to see the output from a selective backup of one of these file
