Don't do an export. Install TSM on the new server. Then backup the database on the old server. Run dsmserv format and then dsmserv restore db on the new server with the old server's backup. Remember

If all your DB & LOG & Storage volumes are on say external SSA disks... just export the volume groups, move the disks to the new/other H50 and import the volume groups, then after bringing a few thin

Not true - We've exported VG with SSA RAID and imported onto another machine and that worked ok. You need to think quite carefully and in particular import VG (and not add RAID set into a new VG ...

OK, but if it is only the storage pools that are on RAID, then just make sure and have nothing in the storage pool(s)... you should still be able to just move the DB & LOG over (with export & import

I can tell you from experience that you can take an ssa RAID array off one machine and plug it into another machine, and it will know that it is part of an array, and define it as such. If this were
