Steve, Are you running any other software that might be listing to snmp-trap port 162? Like Optivity? Check the /etc/services file, what is port in nvtrapd-trap udp and tcp set to? is it 162? Thanks

Under NetView configuration "set options for trapd daemon" which port is configured to receive snmp traps over udp? Optivity changes this from 162 to 412 and then trapd gets the traps from Optivity's
