Well, actually, I can inmagine the TSM server allocating the destenation resource on a per file basis even for B/A client backups. This I get, not from any redbook, but both the quickfacts and 'help

Thanks, and of course, since the landing area is determined before the actual start of the data-transfer, in filesystem sizes are used to determine the expected size of the transaction during b/a act
