Hi, Since you don't state which operating system you are using I will assume it's Windows. For that you can use two utilites, one from SysInternals, called FileMon and which freeware. Here is a snip

Journaling will cut down the time it takes your remote client to scan its filesystem, but it won't reduce the amount of data you have to send over that leased line - which is really causing your prob
