Sam, According to the help screen on 'import node', the vol parameter on the import node command is valid with the use of a filename rather than input of the volsers at the command line. And it seems

Hi Ginny, If your destination for your Backup data is tape, then the import should start going to tape after awhile. The import of a node with filedata has both database information and backup data.
