I was told by a vendor that TSM does not lock files while backuping, not even for "a nanosecond". Is this true? And if so would that also be the case for the TDPs (or whatever they call them now)? Th

About the TDP then it depends on which TDP you are talking about, for example: if it is the TDP for Oracle then RMAN handles the database consistency, if it is the TDP for MSSQL then the standard MSS
