We think the problem is our Ethernet network\hub. The next day we copied the files via token ring and worked great.

We are in the process of moving our ADSM NT server from an IBM 704 to a Compaq 6000. We had planned to copy the db1.dsm via ethernet to the new server. The copy for a 500MB file took over an hour and

I gave this a try and was able to copy the file from my ADSM server to another without any problem using token ring. (Only took a second for a 5 Mb file) Did you stop the Adsm server first?
