- Good morning list, I'm starting a huge video project and need to archive hundreds of gigs of captured video footage to DLT for later retrieval and editing. Amanda looks like it may do what I want but

- Just set 'dumpcycle 0' (which says do a full backup of everything in the disklist, every amdump) and 'tapecycle 999999' (telling amanda you have lots and lots of tapes). Search the archives for "arch

- mtx is the program that controls the changer via sg0. Amanda then has a changer script which interacts with that called chg-zd-mtx. Alternatively, you can forego mtx and use chg-scsi. -- Joshua Baker
