At this time, TSM strictly uses its own authentication system and nothing else. At the IBM Storage Symposium this summer, it was announced that the TSM development group was planning to allow for LDA

Had it been possible, only the general users (Operations) would have been authenticated via ldap. Their activities would probably have been limited to checking tapes in/out and the like. I would have
