Bill, Most likely the problem is due to the fact that your target machine is not configured correctly - that is, from a DP for Oracle point of view. Generally, if you configure your target machine ex

It is in fact the same machine, just different instances. The DBA was logged in as ORATEST when he did the backups, and again as ORATEST when he attempted the restore. I made sure they were from the
/usr/local/webapp/mharc-adsm.org/html/ADSM-L/2004-03/msg00674.html (15,072 bytes)
