We recently upgraded to v3. The server was upgraded first. It continued to backup clients that were still on v2 until we could get them all upgraded. However, a server with v2 will not backup a clien

Sandye, thanks for the response! But, the ADSM Home Page has compatabilities listed, and the way I read it is that all combos of server and clients (well, V2 and V3, anyways) are compatabile. Do you

Sorry to disagree with Sandye, but we are v2 MVS server backing up both v2 and v3 clients. The only restriction we are aware of is that when running the v3 Server, the v2 client cannot access data ba

The information we received when we upgraded was that a server with v2 would backup v3 clients but there would be problems because of the upgrade and as Bob says a v2 client cannot access any v3 data
