I have one gotcha not related to *SM specifically. A few months ago we had a 32bit AIX 4.3 system we did mksysb on and restored it on a 64 bit machine. The only problem was if you are using NFS. Ther

I remember reading that the mksysb from MCA to PCI machine will work, however you must have the AIX cdrom in the drive during the restore so it can grab some of the PCI lpp's that are necessary. I've

I've done this type of move before. It does work, just follow the AIX Install manual on how to do. You definitely need the AIX CD that is at the SAME level as your current machine. Also if you have a
