No. We take 'em as we get 'em. It is only a problem for the vaulted tapes, as it makes them hard to find in the vault. They are hex number. Here are a few example of mine: 01AF50 BACKTAPE 01B938 DEP

The tapes are certainly barcoded at the factory, but you must label them before using them. This issue caused me untold grief when we first began using the 3750. Believe me, you have to label them us
