When we don't provide any specific trap for a vendor, it is normal that i even have a format event ? I mean i was suppose to have "trap found with no format" in event windows . but instead of that i

It is rather hard to explain, but I will try. trapd looks for the closest match in trapd.conf, and formats the incoming trap according to that. You only get "no fmt found" when there is nothing even
