Hello, I have a problem with custom devices , devices has ip - T-P-Klima and can answer for only one OID(snmp get, next), I also can use Netview's Mib Browser to get information but when I set snmpCo
NetView will always query sysUptime during checks for snmpCollect. As far as I know there is no way to work around this requirement. Paul Hello, I have a problem with custom devices , devices has ip

There are no files in the ../snmpCollect directory (files with 0 length). My NumberConcurrentSnmp is 100 and I made change on number of objects in the database (from 10000 ro 20000) only. Regards, Da
Joe, Thanks. The original config from our NV was 200 and I changed to 100 and 50 and back to 100. I read somewhere if the network capacity and NV box (CPU) have no problem we can have it increased. R

David, Try the command snmpCollect ? which will tell you what the default value of NumberConcurrentSnmp is. Unless this was a new installation of NetView, your "original" value may not be the default
Joe, Yes, the default was 5, and I do have verbose trace turned on. But from the trace file I compare (50 and 100), I cannot see clear difference. Maybe I was wrong. Thx & rgds, David --Original Mess

Joe, I didn't try 5, but with 50 and 100 no clear difference. I'll try 5 later then. Thanks. Rgds, David --Original Message-- From: owner-nv-l AT lists.us.ibm DOT com [mailto:owner-nv-l AT lists.us.i

No, they are not. I need to add a new collection using these variables. sequence: - xnmbrowser - Press add to add a new MIB object collection - Here I select MIB Object and I browse to the desire OID
Double Check that there is nothing wrong with the MIB you loaded -- (1) When you are in xnmbrowser and you have the variable highlighted, and you click on Describe, does that information all look cor

Thanks for the replies. The mib in question was the Cisco process mib. I had to change the mib expresion: cpmCPUTotal1min OBJECT-TYPE SYNTAX Gauge(1..100) to cpmCPUTotal1min OBJECT-TYPE SYNTAX Gauge
Anything informative in /usr/OV/log/snmpCollect.trace You may need to toggle that tracing on using -T then hit it with a -S to get a snapshot of the configuration. Aside from that, I don't know what
The procedure for any daemon problem is the same. Look for cores, look in the logs for error messages and call Support. If your daemon stops on some signal, there is probably very little you can do a
